We are joining the Oklahoma Humanities Council to bring a lecture series to Pauls Valley. We will have the books available to check out and a professor to lead the discussion. Our theme is The Oklahoma Experience: Looking for Home. We had thirty people come to the first session as we discussed The White Man’s Road by Benjamin Capps led by Professor David Levy of University of Oklahoma.
Our next program will be February 16th at 6:00 p.m. We will be discussing Sundown by John Joseph Mathews. Professor Susan Kates will lead the lecture. If you would like to read the book, please come by the library and check one out.
Books, services, and other materials for this series are provided by Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma, a project of Oklahoma Humanities. Funding for this series was provided by grants from the Inasmuch Foundation and Kirkpatrick Family Fund.
